Period underwear is becoming more and more popular. Almost every week, a new brand launches its own pants. From a shopper's point of view, a wide choice is very attractive – but it also raises the questions “Which period underwear is the best?” and “Which period underwear should I buy?”. If you have already asked yourself one of these questions, here are some useful tips on how to find the period underwear that is best for you.

Period pants are comfortable and uncomplicated to use, which makes them a great starting point for a first period and for period beginners. They are also washable and reusable, which saves a lot of waste. Outside your period, period pants can be worn as regular underwear or to catch discharge or sweat.

Compare the product features
As you have probably noticed when searching for period pants and comparing product features, all brands promise roughly the same thing. When deciding, it is easy to be guided by looks or by a soft spot for one brand or another.

It is of course ideal if you get a recommendation from someone who has already put the pants in question through their paces and can tell you whether the product description lives up to its promises. If you do not know anyone who has tested period pants, you can search specifically for reviews. Reviews from verified buyers are an additional trust signal – at least you can be sure that the person really did buy the product.
Then again, someone may have received the underwear as a gift. Good reviews are a great endorsement and should be seen as positive, but do not be dazzled. There will probably never be a product that truly satisfies everyone. Justified, objective criticism is fine and helps the brand keep improving its products.
